Mental Health Care is really important!
Mental Health

In any year around 1 in 5 Australians (20%) of people aged 16-85 experience mental illness.
What is a mental illness?
What is a mental illness?
It is a health problem that significantly affects how a person thinks, behaves, acts and interacts with other people. Some of the major forms of mental illness are depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar mood disorder, personality disorder and eating disorders.
Most common are depression and anxiety. These usually tend to overwhelm people with coping day to day activities, such as work, enjoying leisure time and maintaining relationships.

Episodes of mental illnesses can come and go at different times in people's lives. Some recover from it and have one episode while others can experience recurring ones.
Treatments include cognitive and behaviour psychological therapies, psycho-social support, psychiatric disability rehabilitation, avoidance of risk factors like alcohol and drug abuse, learning self-management skills and medication.
Strength of will does not make symptoms go away. To suggest it, does not help!
Suicide risks are heightened for people with some mental illnesses.

We can't always have the answers we seek externally and sometimes these answers need to be looked at internally with professional care services who can assist us with working through those thoughts and reigniting our belief in ourselves.
We are human and we have our moments of weakness, we have our moments where our world collapses and where we can't drown out the voices in our head. These moments do not last forever and are part of a storm in our life. This storm appears that it will stay forever but every storm must pass!
The sun will come out and you must always believe that a better tomorrow is possible. More importantly, we must know that our capabilities and our potential to last through the storm is greater!
Working with a professional helps create this move and installs a re-wire and belief that our potential is not reliant upon our past but rather our future and help us design a plan and a goal where we can take steps moving into our potential greatness. They can help us realise that we can master our thoughts and not be a servant to them.
"If we begin to treat the causes rather than the symptoms, we can begin to shift our entire state of being into health and wellness."
This is just a small introduction to raise awareness of mental health illnesses and I'll will be working to share more in regards to mental health illnesses and how we can start to really work together to support each other.
Also, we need to stop asking someone who is going through a mental illness, to "TOUGHEN UP or GET OVER IT!", it is not helping them!
Learn to recognise the signs, even in children and if they need attention, be kind, care for them, offer support or guide them to professional. Finally, let them know that together we will get through it because you believe in their power and their capability to get through it.
One of the many people that inspired my direction of healing and aiming to understand others, was an idol of mine - Tony Robbins. His videos have taught me to first understanding myself and rather than to judge someone was to understand their story.
Here is a short video of one of his many thousands that I found.
P.s. There is some language in here that some might find offensive, but, if you know his work then you know, he uses to get and keep peoples attention.

Life is one big journey with many ups and downs and if we began to understand our needs, we can then begin to create a world of change for those around us.
